Teenager Mall Scavenger Hunt

Ages: Teens

This is a great party idea that boys and girls will enjoy.

Invitation Ideas:

Get copies of a map of the mall where you will be doing the scavenger hunt and decorate the edges. Put the information for the party on the back. Another option is to decorate a card with fake money and put the information for the party on the inside.

Activities:

The main activity of this party is the scavenger hunt. You will divide the group into 3-4 smaller groups depending on how many are invited. If there are a smaller number of guests a fun option that teenagers always love is boys against girls. You will then give each group $5 and a cheap disposable camera. Explain that they will need it to complete the scavenger hunt. Then give each group their list of items to find. Make sure it is folded so that they can't see it until you tell them to start. Included is a sample list, but you can change it as needed to fit the mall where you will be having the party. You will probably want to change the order of items around on each groups list so that they are not following each other around.

Scavenger Hunt List

 List the movies that are playing at the movie theatre.
 How many stores in the mall have the letter V in them?
 Visit a shoe store and measure everyone's foot size, list the sizes below.
 Purchase an item that is less than a dollar that is red and has writing on it.
 Purchase a small toy from one of the quarter machines. Give it to a younger child.
 Find someone who works in the mall whose name starts with an "R" have them sign this paper.
 Have each member of the group find an article of clothing they would never wear and try it on. Take a picture of the whole group in their clothes.
 List ten things you found in the mall with wheels.
 Get a credit card application from one of the stores.
 Have one of the members of the group get a perfume/cologne sample.
 Get a ticket stub.
 Get three different napkins (from different restaurants with different logos)
 Get a flyer.
 Take a picture of at least three members of the group modeling animal slippers
 Find the lowest price on a pair of running shoes
 Go to the toy store and take a picture of each member of the group playing with a toy.

After the party treat the group to a meal or desert at one of the restaurants in the mall.
