Hello Kitty Themed Party
Ages: 2 to 5
Invitations:
Use white cardstock to make a card shaped like Hello Kitty. Add a
red bow and draw in her face. Write the party information on the
back.
Decorations:
Dominant colors for Hello Kitty are pink, white, red (her favorite
color) and green. Get streamers and balloons in these colors. Hang
up pictures of characters from Hello Kitty. Use a large box to
make a house that looks like Hello Kitty’s house.
Party Crafts & Activities:
Get headbands and help the kids attach kitty ears to them along
with items like ribbons and stars to decorate them. Then they can
wear the ears during the party.
Hello Kitty’s sister Mimmy loves to bake cookies. Have sugar
cookies ready for the kids to decorate.
Make friendship bracelets. Hello Kitty is outgoing and loves
making friends so friendship bracelets are a great craft for this
party.
Games and Activities:
Hello Kitty likes collecting bows. Gather hair bows or cut out bow
shapes from paper and hide them throughout the party area. Have
the kids find them. Give small prizes to each participant.
Hello Kitty lives near London and a favorite party game in England
is pass the parcel. Wrap a small gift with multiple layers of
wrapping paper. Play music and have the kids sit in a circle and
pass the gift. When the music stops the person holding it gets to
remove one layer. The person to unwrap it the last time gets the
gift.
Play pin the bow on Hello Kitty. Bob for apples (Hello Kitty’s
favorite fruit).
Food Ideas:
Cut sandwiches with a flower shaped cookie cutter. Make a pink
punch. You can easily make a cake that looks like Hello Kitty’s
face. Hello Kitty loves apple pie. You could purchase small apple
pies at a bakery to offer the kids. She also loves pudding and
candy.
